Labour Market Education & Training Fund


About the LMETF

The Labour Market Education & Training Fund (LMETF) is part of the Government’s 2012 Action Plan for Jobs initiative. The Department of Education & Skills has committed €20m to fund a range of education and training interventions for up to 6,500 individuals who are long term unemployed.

NEW CLAREGALWAY POST-PRIMARY SCHOOL

Co. Galway VEC wishes to announce that it has commenced the enrolment process for prospective students in the new Claregalway Post-Primary School for the school year 2013/2014.

Today, 20th September, 2012, Application Forms for student enrolment have been sent directly to the 112 parents/guardians who supported Co. Galway VEC’s application for patronage of the new school and who indicated their intention to enrol their children in the school for the 2013/2014 school year.

Furthermore, application forms for student enrolment have also been forwarded to all Primary Schools within the Claregalway catchment area.

Since Minister Ruairí Quinn T.D. formally announced the appointment of Co. Galway VEC as patron of the new Claregalway Post Primary School on the 25th July, 2012, the VEC has been engaging with all relevant partners in relation to making the necessary preparations for the opening of the new school in September, 2013.

Co. Galway VEC is currently in the process of providing a dedicated section on its website to the new Claregalway Post-Primary School. This will contain all relevant information in relation to the new school and will comprehend updates on all developments relating to the school’s establishment.
